Why You Should Stop Feeling Guilty About Not Keeping A Journal
Journaling is a tool. Tools are used to serve some kind of purpose.
There are so many ways you can use a journal. Personally, I don't believe in the idea of having a daily journal. I use my journal to clear my thinking about some situation that bothers me and to brainstorm on ideas.
There are many kinds of journaling. The purpose of keeping a journal is to give you the freedom to understand your thoughts.
It's not necessary for everyone to write each and every day. It depends on what you want to achieve by having a journal.
Why people keep a journal
To record a daily entry
To brainstorm on ideas
To clear the thinking by writing about a particular situation
express gratitude
express art - Drawings, illustrations, calligraphy, etc.
as a planner, Habit tracker
etc.
Why people don't want to have a journal
Some people only wanted to have journals because they watch pretty ideas on Instagram and they don't find themselves as creative as Instagram posts.
Some people have guilt to missed a daily entry in a journal. they think if they don't have to keep it daily, then what’s the point of journaling.
